How to use the JSON Formatter & Validator

  1. Paste JSON (or open a .json file) — validation runs as you type.
  2. Pick a mode: Beautify, Minify, Validate, or the collapsible Tree view.
  3. If the JSON is invalid, the error panel pinpoints the exact line and column. Use "Fix common issues" for trailing commas and similar slips.

What this tool doesn't do

  • Validates syntax only — it cannot check your JSON against a remote schema or API contract.
  • Duplicate keys: per the JSON spec, the last value wins — the tool warns you rather than guessing.
  • Fixes are explicit (button press), never silent — review the diff before trusting the output.
